Target

It sucks me in, every damn time!!

Last night I took a ride to Target with Baby J just to get out of the house for a little bit. This little guy is actually a big fan of Target. I mean we have taken enough trips there! Target is where we go at 9 o'clock when this kid won't cool it and hit the sheets. We roll on into our local Target and just pace the aisles! Between the browsing and the car ride there and back we usually have tired him out enough for bed. Now this isn't every night...maybe just once a week...and on a bad week maybe twice. Don't judge. It works.

So even though I was just there for "the ride".....I got to shopping....and did what any normal person would do at Target. Drop at least $100 on random miscellaneous items. 

I came across these shoes I have been lusting after. Something about the bright turquoise and cork wedge heel that gets to me. I had to have them. After walking by them 8 million times, telling my husband "I love those shoes" as if I hadn't said it 8 million times prior, I just picked them up, the only box in my size and got them.

And I have to admit I feel that all is right in my little world now that they are in my closet! 

The problem I have with myself in regards to these shoes....I will drop hundred's of dollar on one item....a bag for example. So why do I hesitate of a pair of shoes from Target for $29.99? It doesn't make an ounce of sense. 

Then I made my way to the clothes. As usual...bought too much. But I "needed" a perfect purple sweater for Easter to go with my Essie polish I picked up last week. And there just isn't enough strength for me to pass up a polka dot cardigan (my two favorite things!), and this tank would look pretty perfect under my mustard yellow boyfriend cardigan from a while ago (also from Target...can you tell I am a fan?).

Link - I bought this tank with the brand Mossimo in the junior section but I couldn't find that link online. I guess in plus size the same stuff is under the Merona brand? I never knew that but that's what it looks like.

Then of course Mr. Baby J needs some new threads (yes...threads..I did say that)

I'm really into orange for little boys for the spring. And I kind of love plaid shorts. So long behold my new favorite outfit!

Then I bought some random things too. Such as a blue Hippo plant watering thing, a coupon binder, magnetic meal planner (more on that later), some more random baby items and a toy for Baby J, my reads; In Touch magazine, and Self magazine because of my absolute favorite famous girlie's is on other...Carrie Underwood!

So Pinterest is blocked at my work. Devastating, right? I mean why do they block the best websites?! I can see them blocking inapporpriate ones, but pinterest, come on people...it's just a site with pictures! I mean I can't even make a photo book on shutterfly at work....LAME!

Spring Favorites - Link Up!

I love when the winter transitions into nicer weather. Even though here in Boston the winter really was really non-existent this year, there is still something about flowers blooming and wearing bright, happy colors!


{1} With that being said...bright spring-y colors are one of my absolute favorite parts of spring! Anything in this color pallette provided by Pantone for Spring 2012 colors is perfect. Nail polishes, sweaters, dresses, party themes, flowers, bags, and shoes....really anything, in any one of these colors would look fabulous!

I mean doesn't this bottom teal just scream Turquoise and Caicos by Essie??!!

{2} The time change. I think this is what I most look forward to enjyoying in the Spring. Getting these extra couple of daylight hours is so worth losing an hour of sleep! My days feel longer, my energy level is higher, and I am just overall happier. Can't beat that after the long, dark winter months!

{3} A new spring purse. Another favorite. I am a Coach bag kind of person most of the time. Sometimes I branch out. I have a Michael Kors, LV, Tory Burch, and then some store brands like Target and Express...but I tend to always turn to Coach. I ALWAY SHOP THE OUTLET! The outlets have gotten better and better for Coach while the inventory gets better, so do the prices! This is my new spring tote, its a good size, nice leather, and in a perfect creamy blush pink tone. And the leather has a bit of a sparkle to it. LOVE!

Coach now has an online outlet shop too...so you can get the Coach quality, at an outlet price, straight from your couch!!

{4) The swift kick in my a$$ that I need to get in shape, eat better, and work out more. ALOT MORE!

{5} And last but not least...loud music, windows down, kind of driving...I mean who doesn't love that!! We have some great weather last week and got just a taste of what is in store for the spring/summer months! And you know, when I didn;t have my baby in the car...I was blasting some tunes and driving a tad bit faster than usual with the windows down! No better way to enjoy the good weather, especially on your way home from work!

Rainy weekends are the best because...

I get to hang out with my boys.

It was such a relief after a long work week to come home Friday night and know I could snuggle with my little baby all weekend. And spend some much needed quality time with my husband. The fact that the weather was cold, damp, and dreary just forced us to stay in and all hang out together. I loved every single second of it.

I need your help...

Ladies, I need your help and your opinion....

I am in the process of re-designing the blog (so exciting!)....but I am on the fence of making a slight alteration to my blog name.

What are your thoughts? DO you think that is a terrible idea? It will be very similar, so I am not going to change my blogspot or anything. I am not starting a new blog, just altering the name a bit.  I would get a new domain name, but also leave this one the same too so that I don't lose readers or confuse friends/family that check here!

Thoughts? Would that totally confuse people? Or does it not really matter?

I feel like its a little bit of a transition year for my blog. Finally after doing this on and off for a couple of years I have a little bit of a vision and some actual ideas as oppose to just winging it! Not that the content will really change I mean just desisgn-wise. The content is me so I can't really change that!!

SO...what do you think I should do?

Go for it and make sure it's clear what the blog title was originally so people don't get confused?

Just re-design and keep the name the same?

I have been wanting to get birth announcements done for...well....15 weeks now. Actually 15 weeks today! Yes, I know. Total procrastination. But I truly took my maternity leave as a bonding experience with my Baby J and didn't get as much done as I had hoped or planned. I thought I would have more time on maternity leave? Who was I kidding, I was flat out busy with this guy, and when he wasn't totally consuming my time on purpose, he was consuming my time by just being cute!

This week instead of going with a theme like I do a lot of weeks I am just going to post random pins I loved this week...so here we go!

I am head over heels in love with these cowboy boots! Aren't they beautiful??! I should really be living somewhere that wearing these would be acceptable. I am not a city girl, I prefer the country. But I like the city on occasion. Being originally from Georgia and living up here in Boston, it makes me just want to move back there, or to another southern location. Not a fan of Boston anymore! I am ready to get out of here someday.

The colors of these flowers are so pretty. I think orange and peach colors flowers are my favorite for some reason. I love me some pink and yellow flowers, but something about orange and peach flowers that I adore. They remind me of a my wedding bouquet!

How cute! I love this, and I would love to elope with my husband once a year if we could! Something so romantic in eloping :)

Spring has Sprung!

And boy has it! This weather has been incredible lately! Going to be in the 70's all week, and possibly up to 80 on Thursday! I mean, has mother nature seen a calendar lately??!! The month is MARCH not MAY! Where is all this fabulous weather coming from?

Who cares, I'll take it! And go on a lot of walks this week!

Spring makes me think of...

Having energy. Lately I have had energy. Shocking! I thought going back to work and having a 3 month old would be exhausting, but so far so good. The good weather and prolonged day light has really made my evenings much more productive than I ever imagined. Yesterday I worked all day, went food shopping with the baby, came home and made some soup for the crock pot, all before 5:30! I was feeling good. Something about the fresh air, daylight savings making it stay lighter so much later that makes me actually have the motivation to do something with my evenings.

Fresh flowers. I love when everything starts to bloom and there is finally some leaves back on those sad naked trees! I always start having flowers around the house in the spring, espcially tulips!

Flips flops and sandals. I have some cute ones from last year that my fat swollen pregnant feet wouldn't fit into, so this year I get to break those out!

Bright colored mani/pedi's. I picked up one of the new Kardashian Kolors from Nicole by O.P.I. it's called Strike a Pose. It's a bright orangey-coral color that will look perfect for the warm weather!

Two of my favorite colors; Coral and Turquoise. I have been on a mini shopping spree for both of these colors lately! I love this blousey top, such a great coral! And this scarf has gold threading through it that is so pretty. I always have a weakness for anything with bows. And I was in the market for a big turqupise necklace and found the perfect one!

Baby J's first St. Pattys Day!

Well it was a weekend of wearing green in our house! At least for Jack it was! I had two outfits for St. Patricks Day. I am WAY TOO into dressing him for the holidays...I can't seem to let one slip by! While I am dressing him fabulously to celebrate, I am lacking in tacking pictures before the outfit is ruined by spit up or poop. Yup...I just said poop on the blog. That's right. We've gone there now!

I have been finding these bibs at Carters and they are so great! Baby J needs a bib on at all times, so I love that I can be festive with these for holidays! I used one for Valentines Day too, you can see that post HERE

Having a bottle in the Babies R Us parking lot...when a kid needs to eat, they need to eat! We were there stocking up on diapers since they were having a great sale.

Oh the exciting things in life now...diaper sales... :)

Outfit #2:

Then we were able to take a nice long walk since it got up to 75 degrees here in Boston this weekend! It was so nice to have our first really good walk in the stroller, he enjoyed it so much, and it was good for his me, the hubby and the dog to get out and walk!

And last but not least...this guy started laughing in the past week. He thinks he's a riot, and he thinks we are a riot!
