Call me naive, or call me a hopeless romantic...but I thought these two were meant to be and would live happily ever after!
Just before Thanksgiving Ali and Roberto from the 2009 season of the Bachelorette announced their split. I am sure all of you saw it on some site or magazine between now and then because it's been everywhere, but I haven't talked about it here because I just didn't feel the need to break some already broken news!

One thing I did want to say is how cruel and intrusive people have been on this topic! On some of these sites people are just bashing them. And on Ali's facebook (yes, I am a "fan"!) people are just blowing up her wall asking if it's true what happened, and saying how they may or may not have liked them together. It is just sad....sad that they broke up, but even worse for what they have to go through with fans/people with endless negative opinions! I get it, they chose to be in the limelight by "finding love" the way they did. But breakups, while they are great for gossip sites and magazines are just something that shouldn't be attacked in my opinion. Let people figure out their situation, heal, and give them a chance to reflect publicly if they chose to do so.

I am a fan of them and I care...I thought they would make it, out of all the couples who haven't married yet I truly thought they would. They always looked so happy and in love! But what goes on behind closed doors is something we never know, about the celebrities we love and even about our best friends relationships.
So I just wanted to reflect on this on here because I am a huge fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. I know people think it's scripted and set-up, but I watch it faithfully and wish the best to the contestants on there. Some of them seem like they actually have a fighting chance in the real world! Some are just flat out not going to work for sure, but these two I thought would make it through. It's just one more way to meet people in this world and who am I to judge that.
I hope Ali doesn't fall off the "celebrity" track. She seems real, down to earth and I love her style so I hope to continue seeing more of her out there and in the magazines with hopefully no negative attention because of this topic, people shouldn't be ridiculed for love just not working out!
Anyway, that's my rant of the day and maybe even the week! What do you guys think? Are you fans, were you surprised too?
