First we had eachother....

Then we had you...Now we have everything.

Welcome to the world my little Jack Ryan!

My little nugget made it into this world on Thursday December 8th at 2:00am! It was quite the process, difficult, painful, and worth every single second. I am so blessed and my family is so thrilled to have this bundle of joy for Christmas. He is precious and perfect and everyway and I could not be anymore head over heels in love!

It has been quite hectic since Jack's arrival, I ended up with a c-section after two days of labor, and then Jack ended up with some concerns for his heart and oxygens levels while we were in the hospital. He was stuck at the hospital 2 days past my discharge date, which were the hardest two days of my life. In the meantime my grandmother whom I was very, very close with passed away two days after his birth. I was discharged from the hospital and went straight to her wake. It was one of the toughest days of my life. Leaving the hospital with my brand new baby still there, going to say goodbye to one of the most important people in my life. Overall, I had a great support system, my two closest friends went to the wake and came to the funeral as well as some extended family and friends. It meant a lot to have everyone who knew and loved my grandmother celebrate her life and mourn with me as I lost her.

Then you throw in the holidays, catching up on Christmas shopping, recovering from a c section, and being on an infants schedule and I have just been completely slammed! I am glad to be slowly getting into my groove yet again, and hoping that once the holidays are over (and I get through them successfully without having my grandmother around), I can get on even more of a schedule and enjoy my maternity leave with the new man in my life!

SO that is that! My baby boy is finally here and is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me! :) (marrying my husband is a very, very close tie to that!)

I hope everyone has been well and is enjoying the joys of the holiday season!

Fooled Yet Again!

Call me naive, or call me a hopeless romantic...but I thought these two were meant to be and would live happily ever after!

Just before Thanksgiving Ali and Roberto from the 2009 season of the Bachelorette announced their split. I am sure all of you saw it on some site or magazine between now and then because it's been everywhere, but I haven't talked about it here because I just didn't feel the need to break some already broken news!

One thing I did want to say is how cruel and intrusive people have been on this topic! On some of these sites people are just bashing them. And on Ali's facebook (yes, I am a "fan"!) people are just blowing up her wall asking if it's true what happened, and saying how they may or may not have liked them together. It is just sad....sad that they broke up, but even worse for what they have to go through with fans/people with endless negative opinions! I get it, they chose to be in the limelight by "finding love" the way they did. But breakups, while they are great for gossip sites and magazines are just something that shouldn't be attacked in my opinion. Let people figure out their situation, heal, and give them a chance to reflect publicly if they chose to do so.
I am a fan of them and I care...I thought they would make it, out of all the couples who haven't married yet I truly thought they would. They always looked so happy and in love! But what goes on behind closed doors is something we never know, about the celebrities we love and even about our best friends relationships.
So I just wanted to reflect on this on here because I am a huge fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. I know people think it's scripted and set-up, but I watch it faithfully and wish the best to the contestants on there. Some of them seem like they actually have a fighting chance in the real world! Some are just flat out not going to work for sure, but these two I thought would make it through. It's just one more way to meet people in this world and who am I to judge that.

I hope Ali doesn't fall off the "celebrity" track. She seems real, down to earth and I love her style so I hope to continue seeing more of her out there and in the magazines with hopefully no negative attention because of this topic, people shouldn't be ridiculed for love just not working out!

Anyway, that's my rant of the day and maybe even the week! What do you guys think? Are you fans, were you surprised too?
